新款iMac生产线将引入Thunderbolt接口，Thunderbolt接口是今年早些时候用在MacBook Pro笔记本电脑上的接口。Thunderbolt一个I/O接口技术，更好的支持显示和设备。
并且，新款iMac将使用AMD Radeon HD 6000系列的高清显卡。
根据苹果所描叙，Thunderbolt接口类似USB端口，但Thunderbolt端口速度是USB端口的20倍。
苹果公司周二表示，拥有四核英特尔Sandy Bridge处理器的新款iMac，在其零售商店网上销售，价格为1199美元起。
