互联网离地址分配完毕越来越近了。
今日（2011年2月1日）凌晨，亚太区又发出了分配更多IP地址的请求。
最新预计将在今年秋季将IPV4最后的5个地址块使用完毕，到时将无IPV4地址。
本次的地址请求是由于亚太网络信息中心（APNIC）现有的IPV4地址几乎用完了。
最后的5个块地址将于今年3月中旬分完，到时将举行一个仪式来纪念IPV4.
七十年代制定的，IPv4的有大约43亿的IP地址。网络化的迅速发展，很快耗尽，整个IP地址预计将在2011年9月用尽。
一直以来，作为替代方案的IPV6发展都很缓慢，但它能提供更多的IP地址。
负责欧洲地址分配的常务董事Axel Pawlik说：“未来互联网的发展和创新将依赖IPV6的部署，互联网服务供应商，组织，各国政府和所有其他互联网来说，现在没有比开始部署IPv6更重要的事了。”
